Neil Magny vs. Mike Malott – UFC 297 (January 20)

Veteran 170-pound fighter Neil Magny will head to enemy territory to meet Canada’s own Mike Malott in Toronto early next year.

Magny (28-11) remains an ever-present in the UFC rankings at the age of 36. “The Haitian Sensation,” who boasts the most wins in the promotion’s welterweight history, has exchanged wins and losses since 2022. While he defeated Max Griffin, Daniel Rodriguez, and Phil Rowe, he fell short against elite competition in Shavkat Rakhmonov, Gilbert Burns, and Ian Machado Garry.

Following a difficult setback against the Irishman prospect this past August at UFC 292, Magny will next hope to bounce back by stalling the charge of Malott (10-1-1) at UFC 297. “Proper” has made an explosive start to life on MMA’s biggest stage, knocking out Mickey Gall and submitting both Yohan Lainesse and Adam Fugitt in his first three Octagon outings.

This welterweight fight was first reported by MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck.
